All chocolate used in our products is made exclusively from cacao grown on our farm on the Hamakua Coast of Hawaii Island, and the chocolate is made by us in small batches in the micro-factory located on our farm.

Buy Your Chocolate Where It Grows

You can buy chocolate directly from our farm located on Old Mamalahoa Highway between Pepeekeo and Honomu on the Hamakua Coast north of Hilo. Or you may schedule a visit to sample some of our chocolate products before buying. Because we are primarily busy growing cacao and making chocolate all visits must be scheduled in advance. We will provide directions to persons who schedule a visit.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards Available as an eGift Card or as a physical gift card. The eGift Card is ordered online directly through Square, our payment processor, and will be sent by email or text directly to whomever you specify. The physical gift card will be sent by us by mail either directly to the gift recipient or to you if you prefer to deliver it personally. The gift cards may be used for purchases at the Makai Chocolate booth at the Waimea Midweek Farmers Market (every Wednesday from 9 am to 2 pm at the Pukalani Stables in Waimea), or by appointment directly from our farm at Pepeekeo, HI, or through this website. Special Events

We periodically sell our products at craft fairs and other special events. Below is a list of upcoming events. These may change, feel free to contact us to confirm whether we will be at an event.
- Waimea Cherry Blossom Festival, Saturday, February 7. We will be in front of the Keck Observatory building.
